After World War II, Cadillac, like most manufacturers, returned to production with a modified version of its 1942 design and engineering. This basic formula would remain in production, with some detail changes, through 1947, and it was incredibly popular with buyers for its combination of power and luxury. It is a testament to the quality of these cars that they are among the latest automobiles recognized as Full Classics by the Classic Car Club of America. They combine modern reliability and drivability with the same careful quality of hand construction that had been seen on earlier V-12 and V-16 models. Accordingly, few automobiles are as popular for the CCCA member who wants to relax in comfort on a CARavan.

The Series 62 Convertible offered here reportedly underwent a body-off restoration in previous ownership. It was then entrusted to David Prueitt, of Prueitt & Sons in Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, who gave the car a careful and fine detailing, after which it was awarded its First Junior at the AACA Eastern Division Fall Meet in Hershey, Pennsylvania, in 2014.

Finished in Belden Blue, the car has an interior in correct blue leather and grey Bedford Cord, with a tan power-operated canvas top and such equipment as Hydra-Matic transmission, power windows, an original AM radio, a heater, windshield washers, a back-up light, dual exterior mirrors, and rear fender skirts. Its current mileage at the time of cataloguing was less than 57,000.

This is an exceptionally attractive and well-presented example of one of the best and most modern Full Classics, and it would be at home in any CCCA activity or on a long tour. It has class to spare!
