Austin is a British automobile manufacturer, founded in 1905 by Herbert Austin. The company garnered early success with their Austin 7, which was essentially Britain’s Model T. Austin began Princess production in 1947 in association with its subsidiary Vanden Plas. In 1956, Austin introduced the Mark IV generation of Princess. In August of 1957 the Austin name was dropped from the car and it was simply referred to as a Princess IV. This was in an effort to allow sales of the cars to be done through either Morris or Austin dealers. Princess IV ceased production in 1959.

This 1967 Austin Princess Vanden Plas 4.0 Limousine’s flowing body work is presented in a gorgeous shade of blue which is tastefully accented by brightwork throughout the vehicle. The car rides on wide whitewall tires with Princess logo wheel covers, giving the car a great contrasting feature of presentation. Other exterior features include rear-hinged back doors, a bustleback-type trunk, foglights and fender-mounted sideview mirrors. This right-hand drive Austin Princess Vanden Plas is powered by a 3,909-cc inline six-cylinder engine which is paired to a three-speed manual transmission. The interior of the vehicle is elegantly appointed with tan leather accented by wood trim. Additional interior options include seatbelts, and additional seating made possible by a rear jump seat.
