Nineteen thirty-seven was a big year for LaSalle. It marked their highest year of manufacturing output, with a total of 32,005 automobiles and chassis units produced. For 1937 LaSalle offered customers five body styles of passenger vehicles to choose from.

This 1937 LaSalle Convertible Coupe is presented in what appears to be similar to the factory color of Peruvian Gray; plus it features a new convertible top and black leather interior. The car rides on whitewall tires with LaSalle wheel covers. Exterior features on the car include a rumbleseat, dual sideview mirrors as well as driving lights and amber-toned foglights. Featured prominently at the front of the car is the LaSalle Goddess hood ornament. The car is powered by a 322-cid, 135-hp V-8 engine which is paired to a three-speed manual transmission. The interior features a clock, heater, banjo steering wheel and turn signals. At the rear of the car are a fold-out rumbleseat and trunk which houses a full-size spare tire.

According to the body tag the style number ‘37-5067’ decodes to a convertible coupe. The paint number ‘24’ translates to Peruvian Gray, and the trim number ‘86’ means this vehicle left the factory with a black leather interior. Based off of this information, this car seems to have stayed true to the way it left the factory in 1937. According to the GM Heritage Center in 1937 LaSalle produced the modest figure of 995 two-passenger convertible coupes. An attached tag (#419) indicates this fine car has achieved Senior recognition with the Cadillac LaSalle Club.
