In 1955, Chevrolet introduced their second generation trucks, the Task Force series. Chevrolet’s 3100, 3200 and 3600 series trucks fell under this designation. New for 1955 was a unique wrap-around windshield as well as an electrical system upgrade to 12-volts. In 1956, the Task Force series saw very minor changes; it did however mark the final year of the eggcrate front grille. The Task Force series truck production continued through 1960.

This 1956 Chevrolet Series 3100 Stepside Pickup has been frame-off restored and is presented in gloss red with C-H-E-V-R-O-L-E-T printed in white lettering on the tailgate. The truck is powered by a 265-cid, 155-hp V-8 engine paired to a floor-shift four-speed manual transmission. The interior features a brown bench seat and a floor-shift four-wheel-drive system. The bed of the truck is completed with oak slats and stainless steel strips. Exterior features include a driver’s side mirror and a new chrome grille, bumpers and emblems. The attention to detail on this truck is excellent.
