The 1970 Dodge Challenger was part of the first generation Challengers built from 1969 to 1974. Built to compete with the more luxurious musclecars like Pontiac’s Firebird and the Mercury Cougar, the Challenger appealed to a more affluent young buyer. The Challenger was available in both coupe and convertible bodies as well as a staggering number of options including eight different engine sizes and three different transmissions.

Offered is a 1970 Challenger R/T 383 in red with red vinyl and cloth interior that features bucket seats and a center console. It is accented with a white vinyl top and R/T striping and “power bulge” hood. Powered by the Magnum 383 engine that produced 335-hp and TorqueFlite automatic transmission, the R/T sits on optional factory road wheels and BFGoodrich Comp T/A tires. A rare luggage rack is mounted on the trunk. Finishing off the interior is a woodgrain treatment on the console, dash and door panels, plus Rallye gauges.
