Production of the Porsche 911 Turbo began in 1975, featuring a 3.0-liter engine that was internally known as the Type 930 unit. The 3.0-liter production ran through 1977. In 1978, Porsche introduced a new 3.3-liter engine for the 911 Turbo. Additional changes to the 911 Turbo in 1978 included brakes similar to those used on the famous 917 racecar and a slight redesign of the famous ‘whale tail’ to accommodate an intercooler in the engine bay. Porsche 911 Turbo production came to an end in 1989. During its time in production, the 911 Turbo was the top-of-the-line 911 offered by Porsche; some may refer to the car as a “Porsche 930” even though this specifies the engine type only. The model was always marketed as a “Porsche 911 Turbo.”

This 1978 Porsche 911 Turbo ‘Euro Spec’ is presented in Porsche’s Silver Metallic, with Fuchs-style wheels. The car is powered by the highly respected 3.3-liter turbocharged air-cooled flat-six-cylinder Type 930 engine which is paired to a four-speed manual transmission. As a Euro Spec car, this 911 Turbo features slightly more horsepower than its U.S. spec counterparts. The owner states this 911 Turbo has never been Federalized. The interior is executed in black leather, and features a 2+2 seating arrangement. Additional factory options on this car include the popular electric sunroof. This exciting Porsche 911 Turbo is being offered in, what the owner states, is completely stock condition, with one repaint in its history. The car comes with an official Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
