Cadillac entered 1934 with increasingly streamlined styling, worn to great effect on the factory’s beautiful Fisher and Fleetwood body styles, which were offered in an astonishing array of variations—52 styles in all! The Fleetwood Town Sedan, in particular, featured a beautiful formal “two-window” roofline yet had a relatively sporty and dramatic air about it. Undoubtedly, few were built and fewer still survive today.

A copy of its original build sheet, which accompanies the car offered here, notes that it was delivered to A.W. Golden, Inc., the Cadillac dealer in Reading, Pennsylvania, and tagged for sale to Mr. L.J. Clarke. Importantly, the car retains both its original bodywork, the Fleetwood Town Sedan with a flat windshield, and the original 368-cid, 133-hp V-12 engine. It was originally specified with painted wire wheels, a Master radio, a hot water heater, a flexible steering wheel, and a trunk rack. It is still accompanied by these options today, as well as rear compartment appointments of dual footrests and an umbrella cabinet.

The Cadillac was restored some years ago, in the factory-correct color of Richmond Maroon with a complementary tan broadcloth interior. It has been professionally maintained for its longtime owner and is described as being a fine driving automobile that would be an excellent tour car for CCCA CARavans and other events, particularly given its rare and attractive body style.
