Chevrolet celebrated the Camaro’s 30th anniversary with a special limited edition available in both coupe and convertible body styles. You could have any color as long as it was Arctic White with Hugger Orange stripes just like the colors used on the 1969 Camaro that paced the Indianapolis 500. The SS was an SLP-designed Z28 that included a modified LT1 small block V-8 raising horsepower from 285 to 305. Special tires and suspension componentry was used including 17x9 five-spoke white painted wheels. A forced-air hood scoop and SLP-designed rear spoiler were other additions. 979 anniversary SS Camaros were built for 1997.
This six-speed example is fully loaded including power windows and locks, power seats, bucket seats with houndstooth inserts, and optional T-tops.
