According to the owner’s account, this Chevelle has benefitted from a full body-off-frame restoration to “stock original” that was completed in January 2013. The 454-cid V-8 big-block Chevrolet engine has been totally rebuilt and has factory replacement LS6 heads with an LS6 GM intake and similar “comp” LS6 cam, 850-cfm Holley carburetor, factory exhaust manifolds with 2.5-inch Torque Tech exhaust. It is further reported that this unit “makes well over the advertised 450-hp of the LS6.”

This is connected to a Hughes Turbo 400 street/strip automatic transmission with a 2,500 stall convertor. The rear end is a 12-bolt posi-traction with 3.54:1 gears. We are told the color is General Motors “Luxo Blue” with original color white stripes. The interior features bucket seats with a center console that has the three-sided shift handle. Rally gauges, steering wheel, 15-inch Rally wheels, tilt steering column, power steering and power brakes are also present.

The current owner concludes that this Chevelle has been in several shows with a third place at the Chevy show in Cumberland, Rhode Island and “1st place best at the 400 point judged GM Nationals at Goddard Park, Rhode Island."
