This car is noted to be the Cutlass Deluxe version of the F-85 Oldsmobile platform versus the similar F-85 Sports Convertible. The Deluxe exhibits the identifiers that are commonly accepted and are noted in the factory brochures of the period to be equipped with a power convertible top, deluxe steering wheel, twin foam-padded bucket seats (with subtle two-tone) and padded dashboard – plus there is the script spelling out Cutlass on the passenger’s side of the dash.
Tasteful good looks, inside and out, with a ride that was remarked for its smoothness coupled with handling that is sure, quick and responsive. It also features a roomy interior and plenty of luggage space. Finished in paint code L Garnet Mist, this sporty and rather uncommon (9,898 built in 1962) Olds has the V-8 engine with automatic transmission. Among the other features are the aforementioned power top, original interior, power steering, power windows, factory hubcaps and whitewall tires.
