The New Yorker was Chrysler’s top-shelf convertible for 1956, and with a hefty price tag of $4136, only 921 units were produced. This white on white convertible is a stunning example. It is very well appointed with black cloth folding top, bias ply wide white wall tires, chrome Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, power windows, power seat and power steering. Power is derived from a Chrysler Fireball Hemi V-8 engine, matched to a push button automatic transmission. Some components, such as the dash and gauges reflect a vintage non-restored patina, while the engine bay is very clean, restored and detailed, exhibiting a proper and maintained restoration.
