Keeping with a two-year design cycle, the big Chevys got brand-new bodyshells with flowing lines that made them appear longer even though overall length and wheelbase remained unchanged. Chevy continued to offer a Super Sport model in the full-size Impala series, though it would disappear after the 1969 model year as the emphasis on performance cars transferred to mid-size models.
This turquoise metallic SS is equipped with the 325-hp, 396-cid big-block V-8 and automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, power windows, tilt steering wheel, engine block heater, plus parchment vinyl bucket seats with deluxe seatbelts and center console. American Racing wheels are fitted for a period look.
