Much like the rest of the American automakers, Cadillac downsized the lineup, including the Eldorado, in 1979 as response to rising gas prices and shifting consumer preference towards fuel economy. All Cadillac Eldorados of this generation had well-equipped interiors, with plush leather seats, climate control and more. The long hood/short deck proportions are quite different from the more iconic Eldorados of the 1950s and 1960s, but the look has actually aged quite well, and these cars are beginning to see a level of interest they haven’t seen since they were new cars. The 1984 Eldorado came with a sticker price that started above $20,000 and was quite popular with over 77,000 built. It came equipped with a 4.1-liter V-8 and a four-speed automatic overdrive transmission. Offered here as a pampered and preserved example, this Eldorado has only 39,880 miles on the odometer. It includes all amenities such as climate control, power seating, power windows, rear defrost, cruise control, cassette deck sound system and rarely seen factory optional alloy wheels. All areas of this Cadillac reflect a condition commensurate with the miles showing and will be appreciated for the collector seeking something special.
