1973 started Corvette's transformation from muscle to touring sports car. A Chevrolet advertisement headlined: "We gave it radials, a quieter ride, guard beams and a nose job.” Indeed, the new Corvette now had a softer ride with redesigned body mounts and the chrome front bumper was dropped for a lightweight rubber piece that flowed into the body design. Road & Track magazine stated in a 1973 road test: "For all its age, size and compromises, if the Corvette is equipped with the right options, it is a pleasant and rewarding car to drive…” Finished in the same color scheme as the original 1953 Corvette, this Classic White roadster is in exemplary condition with 12,484 miles showing on the odometer. Options include AM/FM pushbutton radio, power steering, power disc brakes, tilt and telescopic column, power windows and a luggage rack. The soft red leather interior is in fine shape, while only a few noted flaws are found on the paint. Otherwise very original and correct, this roadster is only a few steps away from a well-deserved trip to an NCRS event.
