As collectors have most often preferred convertibles and sporty two-door body styles, it is rare to find well-preserved or restored four-door sedans and hardtops. While offering more room and comfort, the reality is that most of the bigger cars were used for families, driven until their last breath, and cast aside for the bone yard. The four-door Sport Sedan seen here is one of few to be found in this condition today. Showing just under 34,000 miles, it is in extraordinary condition for its age and kind. Both the interior and exterior have been restored and preserved as needed to insure its special beauty for the next generation to admire. It is well-equipped with a 350 V-8, rated at 250 horsepower, an automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes, factory air conditioning, AM/FM stereo radio, clock, tissue dispenser, Rally wheels and whitewall radial tires. The engine bay is exemplary with not a single item noted to be out of place. Vintage Impala convertibles are relatively easy to come by, but hardtop sedans of this quality are a rare find indeed.
