In 1969 Ford needed to step up their game to stay competitive in the musclecar wars. The result of the Ford team’s efforts was the Mustang Mach I. Available with a choice of five different performance engines and enhanced with visual upgrades like a matte black hood and optional shaker, the Mach I stood out from the rest. Other enhancements included reinforced shock towers, thicker sway bars and heavy-duty spring and shocks.

This particular Mach I is truly unique and one-of-a-kind. Not only is it a highly desirable 428 Cobra Jet, it is has the original R-code with the Ram Air Shaker backed by a close-ratio four-speed manual transmission. This car is verified with being with its correct drivetrain complete with the Marti Report detailing it down to a one-of-one car for criteria that is unspecified. The car is in great condition and would make a very nice driver as is, or perfect candidate to bring up to concours show level. It has been recently serviced with a new clutch, as well as detail work to make it period-correct under the hood. The body is very straight and rust-free, finished in the original Raven Black with red stripe down the side and the correct 1969 Mach 1 wheels. The black interior is in immaculate condition, no snags in the carpet, no rips in the seats and no cracks in the dash.

A factory black on black big-block Mustang Mach I with a four-speed? It doesn't get much better than that.
