This 1991 BMW 850i represents the cutting edge of technology at the time of production. Under its finely sculpted hood is an aluminum-block 5.0-liter, 296-hp V-12 engine that features the first drive-by-wire throttle system ever used in a production vehicle. This is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. An active five-link rear suspension and electronic stability control (also one of the industry’s first) keep the 850i in control at the limit. The interior offers a wide array of amenities that includes keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, power sunroof with rain shield, multi-speaker stereo and windows that automatically close as the speed rises. To cap off these many desirable features, this is a hard-to-find and rare model that is arguably one of the best looking German cars of the last 50 years. A major service has just been completed on this 850i that is presented in Charcoal with a light gray leather interior. The BMW registers 84,000 miles, which is believed to be correct. It is certainly well-maintained and is all original, including its rare wheels.
