The 1954 Corvette was built at a newly renovated facility located in St. Louis, Missouri. This model year was crucial in the survival of the car and its ongoing development. Being a "sports car" without a manual transmission caused the car to have somewhat of an identity crisis compared with competing cars of the era. Today these cars are firmly defined as true collectibles; this example is freshly body-off-frame restored and presented in Polo White with red interior and tan convertible top.

The early Corvette is known for its sensational style, outstanding performance and its low center of gravity producing a fine-handling machine. The Corvette has a 235-cid, 155-hp Blue Flame six-cylinder engine that produced 155 horsepower and is mated to a Powerglide, two-speed automatic transmission; dual exhaust was also standard on this model. This car has the short-tip exhaust feature and bullet-style covers on its three carburetors. Optional AM radio is included; other equipment includes turn signals, wide whitewall tires and factory wheel covers.
Approximately 15 years ago the Corvette received a complete frame-off restoration in a correct and well-executed manner; only 627 miles have been driven since this process was completed, making this a well-seasoned preservation example. Since Sptember 2013 the car has been driven 127 trouble-free miles. It is reported to drive straight and true and provides a high level of driving satisfaction with good feel for the road and predictable braking.
