Though given the title "Grand Prix of Monaco, 13 April 1936" by the artist, photographer Jacques Henri Lartigue, careful examination of the entrants indicates that it in fact captures the prior year's event, held on 22 April 1935. The framed image is accompanied by a copy of the book, J.H. Lartigue et les autos, in which this picture is featured.
