The Z51 Corvette package for 2016 included a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that generates 460 horsepower and 460-pound feet of torque. With this Stingray, you’ll be driving a sports car with a paddle-shift eight-speed automatic transmission. The Stingray’s powertrain lets drivers reach a speed of 60 miles per hour in just 3.8 seconds.
With the Z51 performance package, Chevrolet added brake-cooling ducts along with a distinctive rear spoiler and air deflectors to enhance the car’s track capability. The Corvette is also equipped with disc brakes that are front and rear power assist to provide a controlled stop.
The Z51 Stingray has a specially designed exhaust that is said to further the driving experience. To boost the Stingray’s responsiveness even more, Chevy upgraded the suspension and gear ratios with performance parts. In developing the Corvette’s performance package, the carmaker added close-ratio gearing along with 45 mm-piston Bilstein dampers. The Corvette Z51 has technologically advanced electronic limited-slip differential to take advantage of the torque split that occurs between the car’s rear wheels. These features allow for more aggressive driving as well as better handling and traction.
This excellent Z51 is a one owner car that has approximately 1,300 actual miles. It includes all books, window sticker and paperwork. The interior is black with red seats and armrests; with the red body accents and red brake calipers, it makes for a most appealing, and a bit menacing looks. A removable glass top, chromed alloy wheels, carbon fiber hood, Xenon lights, and carbon hood stripe all add to the visual experience.
The cockpit provides numerous conveniences that include air conditioning, factory sound; power seats, windows, mirrors, and steering. Chevrolet sums it up: “Chevy’s car designers developed the Stingray’s suspension and chassis to make the most of the vehicle’s lighter, stiffer build. Because of this, ‘Vette owners gain the kind of daily driving exhilaration that only racecar drivers experience. The Z51 Corvette package for 2016 is the perfect union of luxury and performance.”
