The first year of Series III Metropolitan production was in 1955. In addition to the transition of the 1.2-liter Austin engine to the 1.5-liter inline four BMC unit; the Metropolitan received a complete cosmetic makeover. The polished stainless steel spears were added to the body to incorporate two colors if desired and a new grille was added.
Finished in effervescent pink, this Metropolitan runs with the 1,498-cc engine and is mated to a manual transmission. The top, top boot and interior are presented in white, while the rear-mounted spare also has a white cover. Additional accents are seen with the color matching steel wheels that are fit with whitewall tires. Economy and fun are two things you will, without doubt, find in this nicely presented Nash.
