Chevrolet famously advertised the 1955 V-8 as “The Hot One,” and for 1956 it was said to be “Even Hotter.” For decades, though, countless customizers have been making them hotter still. This car is an outstanding example that runs with a mighty 454-cid V-8 that is hooked up with a floor-shift automatic transmission. The bright colors are nicely complemented by the custom tan interior. Among the equipment is a custom dashboard with white-faced VDO instruments, tilt steering column, wood-rimmed Grant steering wheel, Cragar SS wheels with faux knock-off center caps and an unidentified sound unit. The engine has a custom aluminum radiator for proper cooling, and it appears that there are bright finished components on the undercarriage. The trunk interior has also been nicely dressed in similar materials and colors with tidiness in mind with presentation. The view from the back presents center-routed rectangular dual exhaust and wide rear tires.
