The first ZR1 Corvette was introduced in 1970 with a special LT1 engine package and an M22 transmission. After a momentary break in 1983, Corvette resumed production in 1984 with the all new C4 generation. A new feature that was seen on the C4 was an all glass hatchback. This allowed for easier access to the trunk compartment. The year 1992 would be historic for the Corvette line. On July 2, 1992 the one-millionth Corvette was produced as a white convertible. When the 1992 ZR1 was released it featured special badging on the front fenders and as a standard feature traction control was added. This model of the ZR1 ended in 1995; with 6,939 of these special cars built between 1990 and 1995. For this year, only 502 special ZR1 Corvettes were produced. The 1992 ZR1 had to have special rear quarters, doors, rear upper panel and rear upper fascia crafted to fit the massive 11-inch wide rear wheels.

The owner reports that this Corvette shows just 1,370 miles on the odometer; and that this is a one-owner automobile since it was purchased new.
