By the mid 1970’s, Porsche had been producing 911s for a decade, and the little sports car from Stuttgart was considered to be the car by which all other sports cars were judged. The introduction of the 911SC in 1978 provided a healthy boost in power to the 911’s venerable 2.7-liter flat-six cylinder engine, resulting increased performance and a 0-60 mph time of about 6.3 seconds.
