This particular car is reported as an older restoration, completed by a west coast Tiger expert, and is an extremely early Tiger, number 175, and one of the few “black dash” Tigers left. According to the “bible” on Tiger’s, the “Book of Norman”, less than 400 were made, so this Tiger is according to the current owner, is “even more rare than a Mark 2 Tiger.”

Additionally this Tiger is reported as having spent approximately its first 40 years on the west coast in Oregon, Washington and Vancouver, British Columbia. Among the equipment that is found onboard are its early five-bolt 289-cid V-8 which is reported as “virtually undetectable from the 260-cid V-8”, this unit is matched to a Ford four-speed top loader transmission with short shifter. It is further equipped with rare LAT – 70 optional wheels, 3.31:1 posi-traction rear end (LAT option), headers, electronic ignition, high-volume oil pan, Tiger aluminum valve covers (a LAT option), four-barrel carb with highrise manifold, original factory air cleaner and fan shroud, Koni shocks, Smiths clock, leather upholstery, rare Rootes radio with original console and wool carpets. The engine was recently professionally removed, inspected, decarboned, detailed and reinstalled, the generator rebuilt, a new regulator and battery installed, and a brand new brake master cylinder put in, for long term trouble-free driving.

The Tiger is authenticated with a COA and registered (#112) with Sunbeam Tiger Owners Association.
