In 1969 the Dart GT models were the most luxurious, offering a nice selection of standard and optional equipment. Dart was known for its stylish shape that didn’t cry out “compact.” It had extra room for passengers, yet wasn’t short on handling by being nimble, sure and confident.
The GT was the top trim level for the Dart and reliable sources show that in 1969 approximately 6,700 Dart GT’s were manufactured in both convertible and hardtop form, all with V-8 engines. This Dart GT Hardtop is reported as cosmetically restored and is presented in a light yellow tone that closely resembles factory code Y2 Yellow. This is nicely complemented by black body side molding and black vinyl top, plus its black bucket seat interior. The Dart GT is powered by a V-8 engine and has a console-shift automatic transmission. Factory Airtemp air conditioning is part of this uncommon package, as are front seat headrests, chrome gas cap on the left rear fender flank, three-spoke steering wheel with padded hub, AM radio, seatbelts, vinyl trunk liner, jack, spare tire storage in a well below the trunk floor, Sun column-mounted tachometer, Cragar wheels, blackwall tires and GT badging. The car is reported with excellent seat covers and the paint shows no major blemishes.
