With the arrival of the MGA Roadster in 1955, several MG aficionados were taken aback by the fact that the pre-war look of the company's sports cars had been tampered with. Instead, they were greeted with a streamlined, aerodynamic body that was right up-to-the-minute in terms of styling and design.
This MGA has received a cosmetic restoration on a solid body and chassis; while the wood floors are still original to the car. The original engine was removed and replaced with an 1,800-cc inline four cylinder engine with dual carburetors that is connected to a manual shifting transmission. The Orient Red paint is presented well and complimented by steel wheels, chrome hub caps and excellent brightwork. The interior has black upholstered seats, matching carpet and a tonneau cover for the cockpit.
The car comes with the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate that stated this car was built in March of 1959 and was equipped with a heater, adjustable steering column, whitewall tires and a miles-per-hour speedometer. Magazines and extra parts accompany the car.
