“Beautifully useful” is how Chevrolet described their El Camino in select advertisements of the period. It was “handsome as a car….and as useful as a truck” They forwarded the idea that never before had a vehicle with such practicality been offered in such a pleasing shape. It was easy to admire from any angle in stock form and this example is impressive in its custom form.

This beautiful mid-‘60s example is reported as “stunning in every way,” from the show-quality Viper red finish to the flawless red vinyl upholstery and striking chrome and stainless trim abound. The El Camino is equipped with the celebrated 327-cid, 300-hp four-barrel high performance V-8 which is dressed with chrome valve covers, polished aluminum intake with Edelbrock carburetor, chrome air cleaner, Mallory ignition and ceramic-coated headers with a 2.5-inch Magnaflow stainless exhaust. Tinted glass, AM/FM stereo radio, two-speed Powerglide transmission, power steering and power four wheel disc brakes make this classic Chevrolet platform a pleasure to drive. Vintage chrome Cragar wheels with Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 radial tires enhance the appearance of this outstanding auto. All original GM panels remain with it, and the Chevy is stated as having “no rust ever” on this original California car. The El Camino is as nice underneath as it is on top. It runs and drives excellent, and is a pleasure to show.
