The clean shape of the 1966 Impala SS exemplifies GM design excellence in an era when styling really did matter. The Super Sport series featured an all-vinyl bucket seat interior, center console, distinctive SS front fender nameplates, grille emblem and deck badge. A segmented horizontal rear taillight arrangement replaced the six round taillights.
