This Mini Cooper has undergone a complete, professional restoration of the body, chassis and drivetrain 2,100 miles ago. The car is now a magnificent, fully-optioned car that is said to be capable of handling its own in a vintage road race or an autocross event. Current mileage shown on the car is 6,712 miles; 4,000 of those indicated miles have been driven by the current third owner, who has owned the cars for 20 years.

Powering this genuine Mini S is a genuine Mini S engine, a 1,275-cc engine with a balanced crankshaft, racing connecting rods, pistons, competition exhaust, Longman racing cylinder head with a matched camshaft for a balance between the street and track to produce over 90-hp. It has a four-speed manual transmission, a 40-mm Weber downdraft carburetor, improved cooling system and a heavy-duty clutch. It sports original Minilite wheels with Yokohama performance tires and a modified suspension.

The interior has a full internal rollcage, competition bucket seats with Simpson racing harnesses, plus the standard three-point seatbelt system for additional comfort. The custom interior has walnut trim and dash with a concealed aftermarket stereo; electric retractable sunroof, halogen driving lamps, side mirrors and competition braking system are also in evidence.

The owner raced this car in a sanctioned event, hosted by the VSCCA, and said that the car complies with all requirements under their rules. The Austin Mini Cooper is said to be fully restored and ready for show and driving on the street or track.
