After the first appearance in 1954, Chevrolets Nomad Station Wagon was an immediate sensation. It was introduced to the passenger car line in 1955. Chevrolet’s Nomad has always been a sought-after collector car as an ultimate station wagon with sweeping lines on a popular and sensationally-styled two-door design.
Fully customized, this Nomad takes the design to a whole new level. It is presented in pearl orange with metallic sliver and a full custom gray leather interior. It is powered by a small-block Chevrolet V-8 engine with an automatic transmission. Grand options are everywhere with power steering, power brakes, power windows and bucket seats. The back seat layout is separated by a custom console that creates bucket-style rear seating that looks and feels “just right.” Modern air conditioning, flat screen monitors, in-dash navigation, billet and chrome accents make this a one-off wagon with many features only found on high-end luxury cars. Additionally you will find ventilated disc brakes, mag-style custom wheels with spinners, dual mirrors and the Bel Air fender brightwork that is unmistakable and adds greatly to the styling of the finned rear fenders that, in turn, accentuates the ribbed tailgate. Fine styling cues such as this are in abundance on the Nomad platform.
1957 would mark the last year for this popular design. Less than 7,000 Nomads were produced, arguably making this the most popular year of the Chevrolet Nomad.
