This fine road machine was, and still is, America’s only true sports car. With only subtle refinements from the 1963 introduction of the C2 platform, the style and performance of the 1966 Corvette continued to gain in popularity and stature.
Purchased new from Jim Quinlan Chevrolet in St. Petersburg, Florida, this stunningly original 1966 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is reported as a nicely optioned low mileage gem with excellent documentation. This is a largely original example that is finished, and repainted once, in Ermine White with a white soft-top and Black interior. The car is reported to run with its correct drivetrain and is a two-owner car that is said to be in “showroom condition” and has a mere 19,000 documented miles on the odometer.
The Corvette is equipped with the high-winding L79 327-cid, 350-hp V-8 small-block engine an is paired to the M21 close-ratio four-speed manual transmission with a 3.70:1 ratio Posi-traction rear end. Additional features on the car include wood-rimmed telescopic steering wheel, “finned” cast-alloy wheels with knock-off hubs, clock, pushbutton AM radio, goldline tires and tinted glass.
The cars extensive documentation includes the original window sticker, sales brochure, sales receipt, factory inspection sheet, Protect-O-Plate and maintenance records
