Jeep began production of their Gladiator pickup truck in 1962 and it remained largely unchanged for its entire 26-year production. Jeep Gladiators were the first off-road vehicles to be offered with independent front suspension making them very capable on- and off-road. By 1980, the Gladiator was referred to only as the Jeep Pickup and the Gladiator name had been dropped. The J10 was offered only with the six-cylinder engine, which displaced 258 cubic inches for 1980. The Gladiator and later Jeep trucks were some of the most veritable and advanced trucks of the time period and were based on the luxurious Wagoneer. Less than 9,000 trucks were sold in 1980, making this example a rare find.

This J10 offered is finished in the appealing color combo of Saxon Yellow over tan interior and presents well. The truck runs and drives perfectly and the odometer shows less than 40,000 miles. It remains in factory correct condition and still has its 85-mph speedometer mandated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This would be the perfect J10 to enjoy on the weekends, or even as a useful truck for the farm.
