  • Highly desirable 390-hp, 427-cu. in. V-8 example
  • 2012 NCRS Top Flight Award winner
  • Formerly of the Rick Hendrick collection

The car offered here is a stunning example of what many enthusiasts consider to be the most “American” car of all time, the Chevrolet Corvette. Under the shapely Stingray hood with its unique “Stinger” hood scoop lies the highly desirable 390-hp specification of the classic 427-cu. in. Chevrolet V-8 engine. The brute force of the car is further advertised by its iconic side exhaust pipes. In looks, sound, and pure performance this car is unmistakable for anything else. No mere powerhouse, this example has been beautifully restored to nearly new condition. In testament to the quality of the work, this car was granted the Top Flight Award by the National Corvette Restorers Society in 2012. The Top Flight Award is an honor bestowed on less than 1% of all Corvettes and confirms its status as one of the finest and most desirable Corvettes in the world.

Formerly of the collection of premier Corvette collector and racing titan Rick Hendrick, the car is now offered from the private collection of legendary NASCAR crew chief Ray Evernham. Since achieving the Top Flight Award in 2012, the car has been on display and not driven. It is interesting to note that, in addition to fame achieved by its award-winning performance at the NCRS, this car is also a country music star. It was driven by Erin Evernham in the official music video for Brad Paisley’s song “Old Alabama” in 2011. In the video, the viewer is taken on a brief tour of Rick Hendrick’s Corvette museum, and this car is featured prominently throughout the shoot alongside other cars in the Hendrick collection.

This highly desirable and beautifully restored car remains in award-winning condition and will make an ideal addition to any Corvette, sports car, or Americana collection.
