The BMW 635 CSi was introduced in late 1978 for the 1979 model year, it superseded the 633 CSi as the top of the range model. The 635 CSi featured the 3.5-litre version of the M30B34 inline six-cylinder engine, producing 215 horsepower and 229 pound-feet of torque.

This example left BMW’s factory on 12 October 1986 according to the BMW Classic Certificate. It was finished in Alpine White over a Buffalo Anthrazit leather interior. Well-optioned, this model features a four-speed automatic transmission with three driving modes, TRX alloy wheels, heated windscreen washer nozzles, leather M Sport steering wheel, sport seats, an automatic antenna, Bavaria C Business radio, air conditioning, electric sunroof, and heated seats. It arrived, in Dielsdorf, Switzerland on 20 March 1986.

This 635 CSi was driven by the first owner from March 1986 until 2006, when a family member acquired the vehicle and brought it to Germany. The 635 CSi remained with the second owner until 2009, when the current owner purchased this BMW. A host of BMW literature, including service stamps and old Swiss environmental control tests, verify that the car was well maintained and confirm the odometer reading of just under 134,000 kilometres at the time of cataloguing.

The third and current owner fitted Michelin TRX metric tyres to the alloy wheels. On 2 July 2021, the air conditioning system was serviced, with components replaced and re-gassed at a cost of €2,269. This car passed a TÜV inspection on 14 July 2021 without faults or remarks.
