Debuting for the 2020 model year, the eighth-generation Corvette Stingray at last brought a rear-mid-engine layout to America’s Sports Car—a fact emphasized by its dramatic proportions, side air-intake scoops, and vents below the taillights. This targa-top equipped Corvette Stingray coupe is finished in extra-cost Accelerate Yellow Metallic with Carbon Flash Metallic racing stripes; according to Chevrolet, only 688 2020 Corvettes were produced in this exciting, eye-catching color. Additional cosmetic options include chrome exterior badges as well as front-axle lift with memory settings, as well as a Z51 rear spoiler.
The mid-mounted 6.2L LT2 V-8 here produces a factory-rated 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque thanks to the desirable Z51 Performance Package, which also adds a heavy-duty cooling system and performance exhaust. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle with an electronic limited-slip differential. This Corvette was ordered with the engine appearance package, designed to shed light—literally—on its powerful V-8; it is also offered with a custom-painted engine cover, which has not yet been installed.
Further options include Carbon Flash wheels, measuring 19 inches front and 20 inches in the rear, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Braking is provided by optional yellow calipers and steel vented rotors, and the Z51 suspension features Magnetic Ride Control. The interior features yellow stitching on the black leather competition sport bucket seats and steering wheel, yellow seatbelts, a stitched alcantara headliner, and carbon fiber accents. The 3LT Premium package, meanwhile, adds heated and ventilated seats, Bose audio, a heated steering wheel, power folding mirrors, and Chevrolet Infotainment 3. Additionally, this Corvette was ordered with both body-colored and transparent roof panels.
Only 109 miles on the odometer at the time of cataloguing and very well equipped with desirable performance, technology, and comfort options, this first-year C8 Corvette Stingray is offered in nearly new condition, having not yet achieved break-in mileage. It is accompanied by its window sticker, custom paint-coded engine cover, roof panel storage bag, and a color-matched display maquette.
