The Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Series II represents an outstanding blend of inspired performance, understated luxury, and sophisticated Italian design. A refinement of the initial 330 GT introduced in 1964, the second series featured elegant Pininfarina bodywork with dual headlamps—versus the quad-headlamp setup on earlier cars—and gained a five-speed manual transmission, compared to the prior car’s four-speed with overdrive. At its heart, however, remained the enthralling 296-horsepower, 4.0-liter, Columbo, V-12 engine. Between 1965 and 1967, just 460 such Series II examples are believed to have been produced, a slightly smaller production run than the preceding Series I.

This example was completed in June of 1966, according to a report by marque specialist Marcel Massini. It was originally finished in Grigio Fumo with a Nero Franzi leather interior and delivered new to well-known Ferrari importer Luigi Chinetti Motors of Greenwich, Connecticut. Although its early history is unknown, the Massini report indicates that the car was registered in San Diego, California, in 1974. Two years later, it was sold to Peter E. Paddrik of Marietta, Georgia, after being advertised for sale in May 1976 by FAF Motorcars of Tucker, Georgia. The advertisement described the car as being finished in red with a black interior and wearing Borrani wire wheels.

Paddrik would own the car for more than 15 years and is believed to have undertaken a partial restoration in 1989. During his ownership, the car would be listed for sale without success several times, including at the Kruse auction in Auburn, Indiana, in September of 1991—where it was listed as showing 50,000 miles—and at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona in January 1992. Not having sold there, the 330 GT would finally change hands later that same month, after being acquired by Barchetta Motorcars, of Huntington Station, New York. In September 1992, it was once again listed without success at the Kruse auction in Auburn, Indian. The car appears to have been relocated to Massachusetts at some point over the subsequent four years.

There is no information regarding its fate throughout the late-1990s and early-2000s, but in December 2007 it was acquired by an owner in Ontario, Canada, and listed as being finished in its current color of Grigio Argento. In February 2020, the car was sold to a new owner in Lakewood, New Jersey. It was subsequently listed on eBay in May 2021, after which it was acquired by the consignor.

Now featuring a well-appointed replacement red leather interior equipped with power windows and an aftermarket stereo cassette player, the car rides on Borrani wire wheels and is ready to be enjoyed following minor reassembly and cosmetic finishing. It is accompanied by an assortment of parts and a Massini report.
