  • The essence of 1980s British luxury
  • Lightly refurbished original example
  • Beautiful stainless accents and tinted windows

For those who could not be satisfied by the additional length of Rolls-Royce’s long-wheelbase Silver Spur, numerous coachbuilding firms in the U.S. and overseas stood ready to assist, transforming the British saloon into the newly popular style known as the stretch limousine. Among these firms was DaBryan Coach Builders, originally established in 1979 and well-regarded for the quality of the fit and finish seen in their conversions.

DaBryan was responsible for this lavishly trimmed limousine, reportedly built new for the owner of Terry York Rolls-Royce of Encino, California. Naturally, it was serviced in their own service department. After the dealership was sold it was serviced by the well-known independent Rolls-Royce specialists at Frank McLain & Sons. It is reported to have been a chauffeur driven example for personal use only.

Superbly appointed, this limousine features a conversation pit-style rear compartment, with beautiful fine wood cabinetry emblazoned with the Rolls-Royce logo, a fitted set of crystal glassware, vanity mirrors, footrests, a glass moon roof, and overhead controls for the stereo and climate control systems, as well as subtle offset lighting that provides a warm and cozy environment. In addition, the body features stainless steel accents and darkly tinted privacy windows. The owner notes that the car has required only light refurbishment, and today records 39,802 miles at the time of cataloguing. It is accompanied by books and tools.

This coachbuilt Rolls-Royce is still the embodiment of wealth and success – a luxurious creation capable of carrying the entire family, or the entire party, out on the town in classic elegance.
