The Ferrari 812 Superfast made its debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The successor to the F12berlinetta, the new 812 Superfast fell right in line in Ferrari’s two-seater, front engine V-12, rear-wheel-drive, grand tourer segment – marketed by Ferrari as, “the fastest and most powerful Ferrari yet.”
The 812 Superfast is powered by a larger 6.5-liter V-12 compared to the outgoing 6.3-liter found in the F12. The new engine design puts out an astonishing 785 hp and 530 ft-lb of torque, which, according to Ferrari, at the time of its release was the most powerful naturally aspirated production car engine ever produced. The 812 Superfast achieves 60-mph in just 2.8-seconds and is capable of a top speed of 211 mph. To maintain ideal weight distribution the gearbox is mounted at the rear giving the car a 47/53 split. The seven-speed dual-clutch ‘F1’ auto/manual transaxle features Slide Slip Control 5 and E-Diff3. The new gearbox control reduces shift times in both upshifts and downshifts. Handling is improved care to the rear-wheel steering system from the F12tdf. Additionally, the 812 Superfast is the first Ferrari equipped with Electronic Power Steering (EPS). With the increase in power, faster shifting, and improved handing comes the need for enhanced braking which is provided by Brembo’s Extreme Design carbon-ceramic discs, borrowed from the LaFerrari. Currently the flagship of the Ferrari brand, the 812 Superfast is a technological feat and truly a grand touring supercar.
This 2019 Ferrari 812 Superfast was originally delivered to Ferrari Silicon Valley in Redwood City, California. It is finished in Nero Daytona with over $125,000 in optional extras. Highlights include Apple CarPlay, adaptive front lights, Alcantara interior carpet, yellow brake calipers, exterior sill kick in carbon, and colored inner details. Additional carbon fiber options include the front bumper insert, rear bumper sides, rear boot trim, rear diffuser, underdoor cover, driver zone with LEDs, central bridge, and upper tunnel trim. Today, the Ferrari is offered in showroom condition having been driven a mere 212 miles from new. Furthermore, it is accompanied by a copy of its window sticker, owner’s manuals, tools, battery tender, and car cover with bag.
With its astonishing power, breathtaking performance, and equally stunning design, the 812 Superfast is the pinnacle in a long line of Ferrari grand tourers, and a must-have for any diehard tifosi.
