The Ferrari F430 Spider was launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2005. The F430 coupe had been released the previous year and was clearly a logical development from the 360M. Cosmetic changes created by Pininfarina included larger air intakes to the front and sides, a redesigned tail and rear diffuser, and new swept headlights. These subtle changes were made using state-of-the-art computer aerodynamic simulation programs used by Ferrari’s F1 team, and the changes helped make the F430 more fuel efficient and stable while also reducing drag and lift.

It was, however, the engine that was all new. The compact, lightweight 4.3-liter engine developed 480 brake horsepower could propel the car to over 193 mph, with a 0–62 mph time of 4.1 seconds. Of course, the F430 Spider incorporated all the important new technical features of every new Ferrari. The brilliant design of the electric roof allowed the engine to remain visible under its glass cover at the rear of the cockpit.

This superb Ferrari F430 Spider was originally delivered to Miller Motorscars in Putnam, Connecticut. According to the window sticker, optional equipment included red brake calipers, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, Hi-Fi stereo with subwoofer, and the highly desirable power-operated Daytona-style seats. Finished in classic Corsa Red with a beautifully contrasting beige leather interior, this F430 Spider has been driven less than 16,000 miles since it was first delivered.

With its combination of fantastic looks and exceptional performance, this F430 Spider is ready to command the most winding of roads with the pleasure of spirited open-air touring.
