Ford offered panel trucks from the beginning of Model A production. These were typically on the half-ton pickup chassis, although heavier-duty versions could be had. This particular truck boasts the attractive styling that was introduced for 1937, which was no doubt influential in Ford’s first place in truck sales that year.

This 1937 Panel Delivery has been fully restored. The only deviations from original include a set of Red’s exhaust headers and dual Brockman Mellowtone steel-pack mufflers and tailpipes. Flipper-type wheel covers have also been fitted. With its Coca-Cola advertising motif, it stands apart from any crowd.

The car is in its original configuration, which has only one seat, for the driver. The load space is accessed through cargo doors at the back, and the spare wheel is elegantly recessed into the right side of the body and carries a full steel cover. All of the paint and brightwork are show-quality. Many early trucks have been upgraded for comfort or as show wagons during the van fad of the 1980s. Pure examples like this one are seldom seen. Whether as a showpiece for a tradesman or part of a commercial vehicle collection, it is bound to make its mark.
