Perhaps the very definition of “modern classic,” Ferrari’s 458 Speciale bears all the hallmarks of collectability in today’s market. Not only is it the special series variant of Ferrari’s last naturally aspirated V-8-engined road car, but it would be the last mid-engined Ferrari to be designed by Pininfarina, marking the end of an era for Ferrari both mechanically and cosmetically.
Delivered new to the consigning owner, this particular 458 Speciale has driven less than 2,000 miles from new. Finished in Bianco Avus over an interior trimmed in Nero Alcantara with grey Speciale stripes, the car is fitted with a handful of desirable options including brake calipers in Rosso, the AFS system, the front suspension lifter, titanium exhaust pipes, front and rear parking sensors, and interior stitching in Rosso.
Numerous service invoices are on file, showing a regular service history for Ferrari of Salt Lake City. Annual services were carried out in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022. Most recently, the 458 Speciale received a major service at Ferrari of Salt Lake in June of 2025 at 1,832 miles, which also included fitting brand new correct specification Michelin tires. Furthermore, it is important to note that the car still wears all of its factory PPF on its front-facing surfaces, in addition to Clearplex on the windshield. The owner states that the car has always been stored indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
Over a decade since its introduction at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the 458 Speciale remains more desirable than both its predecessors (the 360 Challenge Stradale and the 430 Scuderia) as well as its turbocharged successor (the 488 Pista), no doubt due to its place in Ferrari’s history and its overall usability. Truly thrilling to drive on track, the 458 Speciale remains both compliant and comfortable to drive on public roads as well, with the modern amenities one would expect in a 21st-century supercar, albeit none that distract from the overall driving experience.
Well-specified, single-owner 458 Speciales are becoming increasingly difficult to find, and thus this example should not be overlooked.
