- Of the 499 LaFerrari coupes produced by Ferrari, it was only natural that two would be earmarked for Scuderia Ferrari’s Formula 1 drivers at the time of the car’s introduction at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013.
In the case of Felipe Massa and his LaFerrari, the very car offered here, it took on a more special significance, with Massa having announced his departure from the team later that same year, moving to Williams in what would be the final years four years of his career in Formula 1. Starting with Scuderia Ferrari as test driver in 2003, he earned his full-time place on the grid in 2006 alongside Michael Schumacher in 2006, following two seasons at Sauber Petronas. Massa brought Scuderia Ferrari 11 wins which included helping Ferrari to claim the Constructors’ Championship in 2008 and losing out on that year’s Driver’s Championship to Lewis Hamilton at McLaren by an agonizing single point.
It was clear that Massa left Ferrari on good terms, having provided an enormous contribution to the team for a better part of a decade, and taking delivery of this brand-new LaFerrari in 2014 was surely a moment to treasure for the driver. Massa chose to finish his LaFerrari in Nero (DS 1250) over a Nera Alcantara interior and it was fitted with FXX-K wheels (specified as an Atelier option). Adding a flourish of colour are Rosso Corsa pinstripes along the front splitter, side skirts, and rear-view mirror supports. Optional extras include Rosso Corsa brake calipers to further offset the black paintwork, alongside the front and rear diffuser in carbon fibre and carbon fibre wheel caps.
Inside, the black and red theme continues, with Rosso Corsa cavallinos stitched in the headrests of the medium-sized seats with Rosso Corsa piping, alongside a Rosso Corsa painted stripe on the carbon fibre dashboard. Further options included the suspension lifter and track camera kits. As a special touch, the car’s limited edition plaque between the seats was further embossed with the text “Grazie Felipe” and signed by then President and CEO of Ferrari, Luca di Montezemolo.
Delivered new to Massa in October of 2014, the LaFerrari was first registered at his address in Monaco and would remain with him until April 2021, at which point it was purchased by the current owner and exported to Denmark. With the current owner, the car has been serviced on three sperate occasions: in April 2022 at 3,151 km, in November 2024 at 3,723 km, and most recently the car has received an annual service completed in early April 2026. All of these services were carried out by Formula Automobile A/S, Denmark’s sole official Ferrari dealership and service centre. The battery health has been regularly monitored by Formula Automobile A/S and as of the last service is showing 77%.
Having travelled less than 4,000 km from new, with the majority of this mileage accrued by Felipe Massa as its first owner, this LaFerrari benefits from unrivaled provenance, sublime specification, and is ready to use and enjoy with its fortunate next owner.
