The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano was a landmark car in Ferrari’s history, boasting a V-12 based on that of the Ferrari Enzo and different direction in styling from the 550 and 575 Maranellos that preceded it. This was the first series-production Ferrari that could out-perform the iconic F40, allowing Ferrari customers to enjoy truly extraordinary levels of performance alongside the luxury one expected from the company’s flagship grand tourer.

Raising the bar over the already exceptional 599 GTB would be no easy task. Developed directly from the track-only 599XX, the 599 GTO benefited from innovative technology refined through motorsport to make numerous improvements in performance. A plethora of changes were made to enhance the car’s aerodynamics and cooling, including fitting new front and rear diffusers and a new rear spoiler. These changes were more than just skin deep, and power was raised to 670 horsepower at 8,250 rpm, with an updated six-speed automated manual gearbox that could change gear in 60 milliseconds—40 milliseconds faster than the standard 599 GTB. Even the car’s traction control system was revised to reduce understeer and maximize responsiveness. Capable of reaching 100 km/h from a standstill in just over three seconds, this was the fastest accelerating street-legal Ferrari at the time of its unveiling.

According to the accompanying original window sticker, this Ferrari 599 GTO was finished just as you see it today, in Rosso Corsa with a Girgio Silverstone roof over a Nero Alcantara interior. Resplendent in the launch color scheme of the 599 GTO, it was delivered new to its first owner via Ferrari of Newport Beach. Numerous optional extras were fitted to the car, including carbon fiber doors sills, yellow-painted brake calipers, heat insulating windscreen, privacy glass for the rear ¾ windows, passenger side footwell mounted fire extinguisher, carbon fiber dash insert, carbon fiber transmission tunnel, and the carbon fiber front splitter amongst other options.

Delivered new to its first owner in California, the accompanying Carfax report shows that this 599 GTO remained in Southern California for the first six years of its life and was regularly serviced by Ferrari of Newport Beach during that time. The car later moved east to Tennessee, where it was registered with a second owner. Acquired by the current owner in 2023, the 599 GTO is presently showing just under 3,550 miles from new. In April 2025, the car received an annual service by Ferrari of Palm Beach and has accrued minimal mileage since. In addition to the original window sticker, the car retains its original Ferrari Classiche certification binder, which was delivered new with the car in 2010.

A true modern-day collectible thanks to its incredibly good looks, fabulous driving dynamics, and limited production, a well-kept 599 GTO is a must-have in any collection. Finished in the color scheme introduced for its launch, this would be an excellent addition to any collection of special-series modern Ferraris.
