The 34th of 70 produced by Tailor Made to celebrate Ferrari’s 70th anniversary, the livery found on this 488 GTB was inspired by the 250 LM chassis no. 6119, which was campaigned by Scuderia Filipinetti. The car is finished in Rosso Scuderia with a Bianco stripe and roundel bearing race no. 27, which it wore at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1965, where it finished 6th overall, driven by Dieter Spoerry and Armand Boller. The Scuderia shields are airbrushed on the front fenders in a larger size, reminiscent of Enzo-era race cars, and the wheels are finished in matte Bianco.
Inside, the interior is trimmed in black leather with blue ‘Jeans Aunde’ fabric, which was used on Ferrari racing cars of the 1960s, including the 250 LM. Carbon-fibre trim is utilized throughout, along with uncarpeted metal floors.
Currently residing in France, the car is presented in virtually as-new condition throughout, with less than 250 km from new on its odometer. Arguably one of the most interesting of the 70th-anniversary liveries, the ‘Le Mans’ livery is well executed on the 488 GTB platform and would be an exciting addition to any collection.
