Successor to the 599 GTO and F12tdf, the 812 Competizione was unveiled in 2021 to extend the Ferrari trend of introducing a track-honed, hardcore edition of its contemporary front-engined V-12 grand tourers. The seven-speed dual-clutch transmission shifted through the gears more quickly, downforce levels increased, and weight was reduced by 38 kilograms.
However, it was the 6,496-cc naturally aspirated powerplant that dominated the technical enhancements. Lighter titanium con-rods, a new coating for the pistons and camshafts, plus a new crankshaft helped boost the rev limit by 600 rpm. The resulting 9,500 rpm red line made it the fastest-spinning internal combustion engine in Ferrari history. Rated at a staggering 830 PS, it was also the most powerful naturally aspirated Maranello motor at the time of its launch, with only the more recent 12cilindri of 2024 finally tying its output.
With the production run for this hugely desirable special edition limited to just 999 units, the example offered here was allocated to a prized Ferrari client. The 812 is finished in the rich, metallic shade of Grigio Competizione. This is offset by the prominent central Giallo Fly racing stripe with a Nero border, the painted 20-inch forged wheels shod in Pirelli tyres with yellow detailing, and yellow brake callipers that further accent the paintwork. Significant extras include the carbon fibre front splitter and enormous rear diffuser, the beautiful Scuderia shields set into the front wings, adaptive headlights, plus front and rear cameras.
The interior of the 812 Competizione, meanwhile, predominantly comprises Black Alcantara trim for the dashboard and race-style bucket seats, with carbon fibre for the door handles and centre tunnel. Echoing the exterior configuration, the cabin features yellow accents in the form of the four-point harnesses, central tachometer, and Cavallino logos embroidered into the headrests. As part of the generous specification, the car also features Apple CarPlay, a front-axle lift system, the onboard telemetry kit, and passenger display screen.
Delivered to its sole owner in Germany, this 812 has been very sparingly used. Nevertheless, on 23 July 2025 it was treated to a service by official Ferrari dealership Gohm Singen. At this time, it was noted as showing just 80 kilometres. Not driven since, the car displayed the same total at the time of cataloguing. It is also accompanied by its owner’s guides and a car cover.
An exquisitely finished, one-owner example of the revered Competizione, this 812 is sure to appeal to all discerning supercar collectors.
