In Ferrari’s own words, the 812 Competizione “is the ultimate expression of Ferrari’s concept of an extreme front-engined berlinetta,” refining the celebrated DNA of the 812 Superfast to unprecedented levels of performance and precision. Following in the footsteps of the 599 GTO and F12tdf, this new 12-cylinder Special Series model introduced the most powerful naturally aspirated engine ever fitted in a Ferrari road car upon its debut. Generating a remarkable 819 horsepower at a soaring 9,500 rpm, the Competizione surges from 0 to 62 mph in a mere 2.85 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 211 mph.
True to its name, every aspect of the Competizione is engineered for performance. The rear buttresses and unique carbon-finned hood are not mere visual cues, as they enhance downforce and reduce turbulence, contributing to a level of aerodynamic efficiency previously unseen in a front-engined Ferrari. The four-wheel steering system and Ferrari’s E-Diff limited-slip differential system grant the Competizione extraordinary agility and surgical precision on both road and track.
Production was strictly limited to a reported 999 examples, each allocated exclusively to Ferrari’s most esteemed clients, individuals personally selected by Maranello as custodians worthy of such a commanding and focused machine.
Delivered new via Ferrari of Scottsdale, Arizona, this extraordinary 812 Competizione presents in virtually delivery condition, showing just under 80 miles at the time of cataloguing. A singularly specified example, it boasts an astonishing $213,790 in factory options, culminating in an extraordinary $820,538 MSRP. Finished in Extra Range Nerotto Lucido with Bianco Sanae racing stripes extending across the bonnet and door tops, the car is further distinguished by airbrushed Scuderia Ferrari shields adorning both front fenders. A host of functional and aesthetic enhancements include adaptive LED headlights, front and rear parking cameras, and extensive exposed carbon fiber detailing found on the front air intakes, air filter box, wheel cups, engine cover, splitter, and rear diffuser. The car rides on 20-inch matte black forged racing wheels wrapped in staggered Pirelli P Zero tires and is equipped with a front-axle lift system and gloss black cross-drilled carbon-ceramic brakes with integrated cooling ducts derived from Ferrari’s SF90 Stradale.
Inside, the Tailor Made equipment continues with a cabin lavished in black Alcantara and headlined by large-sized racing seats equipped with lifters and upholstered in Blu Jeans Aunde with Oatmeal Ultrasuede stripes and Cavallino-stitched headrests. Cockpit carbon fiber is found on the instrument cover, upper center console, parcel shelf, inner door handle, and dashboard inserts while the Extra Range steering wheel is trimmed in Alcantara with Bianco Sanae 12 o’clock stripes. Apple CarPlay, passenger display, diamond plate footrests, and a high-power JBL hi-fi stereo system round out the car’s showstopping specification. A window sticker, battery tender, car cover, and collection of owner’s manuals complete the sale.
Highly sought-after from the moment of its unveiling, the 812 Competizione is a connoisseur’s Ferrari, celebrating the marque’s unfiltered performance pedigree and representing a thoroughly modern interpretation of Maranello’s storied history of naturally aspirated V-12 excellence. This example, with its blend of bespoke tailoring, striking finishes, and two-digit odometer reading, stands as one of the ultimate expressions of a model destined to be a landmark in Ferrari history.
