The replacement for Ferrari’s 599 GTB Fiorano, the F12berlinetta took center stage at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show as Ferrari’s new flagship 12-cylinder grand tourer. A descendant of the great berlinettas of the 1950s and 1960s, the F12berlinetta boasts not only remarkable looks, but equally remarkable performance. Its 6,262-cc V-12 produces a monumental 730 brake horsepower, leading a 0–60 mph time of 3.1 seconds and a top speed of over 211 mph. This brutal performance was no doubt assisted by Ferrari’s attention to detail to keep weight to a minimum (3,362 pounds). Its use of unique aerodynamic solutions included the “Aero Bridge,” which created downforce using the hood to channel air to both sides of the car just aft of the front wheels, as well as the car’s active brake-cooling system, which channels air through the nose toward the brakes when cooling is needed most.
The 2013 Ferrari F12berlinetta on offer rolled out of the factory in Maranello furnished with a truly staggering amount of optional equipment. As shown on the window sticker, $143,338 was spent on tailoring the car to the buyer’s wishes. The carbon-fiber engine covers, filter-box cover, dashboard inserts, cup holder, and central bridge are amongst the most expensive options and account for just shy of $40,000 of the total. Additionally, the Ferrari features the Adaptive Front Lighting system.
The exterior is finished in Rosso Berlinetta over a Beige leather interior with contrast red stitching. Matching red accents on the vents, door handles, and luggage shelf draw the eye in a sea of carbon fiber trim. Under the hood, the carbon-fiber engine-compartment cover has been signed by personnel from Ferrari Tailor Made, the company’s exclusive customization program. Just 1,876 miles are present on the odometer at the time of cataloguing. A series of invoices on file dated to the year 2020 show the annual service was performed in addition to the mounting of four new tires. The car will be accompanied by owner’s books, a car cover, factory tool kit, and the window sticker.
Perhaps among the most lavishly optioned F12berlinetta on the planet, this Ferrari is a unique opportunity to procure a truly bespoke example of this immensely capable sports car.
