Circa 1920, serial no. 13650. Very rare light duty factory steam engine and three ball governor converted to run on compressed air but can also be operated with live steam, if so desired. The Pickering governor features three large brass ball flywheels (serial no. 17875B, mfg. Portland, Connecticut). A wonderful showpiece of the type used to power small factories in the early part of the century. Formerly in the Sanfilippo Collection, this example is believed to have formerly resided at Greenfield Village. Includes an air dryer and large modern screw compressor to replace the steam.
