68 bhp, 3,739 cc side-valve inline six-cylinder engine and four-speed manual transmission.

One of the largest and finest Fiat automobiles ever manufactured, the 525 sported a large 3.7-litre six-cylinder engine with two unilateral distribution valves, ensuring fine performance for an Italian car of its time, with a top speed above 100 km/h. The 525 N version, introduced in 1929, was improved further for even more power and is considered one of the most desirable variants of the engine today.

The 525 N engine and transmission sold here have been displayed in the collection for many years. The engine is fitted with a radiator, fan, and distributor, and the stamping of 100390 appears correct. It would be an ideal display piece or spare for any enthusiast of fine Italian motoring.
